Jazz has always embraced pop culture, and now it’s time to bring video game music into the mainstream jazz scene! The Video Game Jazz Band is a fun and accessible way for young musicians to connect with jazz through music they already know and love. This class brings together jazz musicians and video game music, creating a unique opportunity for students to explore music in a way that resonates with their generation.
Spring Season Theme:
Undertale+Deltarune – Bringing the soundtracks of the popular games into a jazz band format!
Open to instrumentalists and vocalists
Students should have a level of proficiency similar to middle/high school jazz band, concert band, choir, or orchestra
Rehearsals: Beginner Band: Thursdays 6:30pm - 7:30pm; Experienced Band: Thursdays 7:30pm-8:30pm at Air House Music Academy, Studio C (109 S. Ridge Rd, Wichita, KS)
Program Duration: 12 weeks (Spring Season runs from January 22-April 16th)
Program Cost: $25 per 60-minute rehearsal, or $300 for the entire season.
If paying in installments, the first payment of $150 is due at the first rehearsal, and the second payment of $150 is due halfway through the season.
